Storage Beds
We are always getting asked what different types of storage we offer on our
beds and what each one means. To try
and assist we have set our the different types of
storage beds and
ottoman beds available in the sizes we
offer.
Storage Beds Names
Slidestore Beds
Slidestore beds are as they sound. Beds
with a sliding door. On these beds you get the full use of the under bed on a
small single or single bed and half the under bed on all other standard bed
sizes. We find these type of storage beds
are best for storing bulk items like toys and quilts etc. On
single storage beds the slide store
will be on the side of the bed
and on
the end like this
on
all other standard bed sizes.
Drawer Storage Beds
These beds usually have numerous
options available depending on the size of
bed you purchase. Small single and single beds are available with 2 drawers
on one side or one large drawer.
All other sizes may come with 2 drawers, 4 drawers or a large end drawer as
shown here
.
Silentnight Beds and some other
companies offer what is known as a continental drawer option. This means you
will get a storage bed with 2 small drawers at the top of the bed allowing you
to use the drawers even if you have bedside cabinets. The continental storage
bed may also have an option that gives you the choice of continental drawers at
the top and 2 drawers on the bottom half of the bed like this
or even with an end drawer like this
.
The beauty of drawer storage beds is that you can pick the option that suits
your needs best and use the different drawers to store different types of
products.
Ottoman Beds
In addition to this we also now have our Ottoman beds that are excellent and
allow you to use the full base of the bed
for maximum storage options.
